'Inflation' isn't exactly mainstream, so you probably got some disappointed votes there. Or maybe your fanbase got sick of blondes.
I think you should focus on making the kind of art 'you' enjoy. If you chase trends or feedback given by very few users, you could end up with equal ratings, but would be frustrated by drawing things you don't even like.
You have a solid point, personally i think it could be that it's captain marvel and people are sick of her and the MCU at this point because The Marvels flopped hard. Because some of my other 'inflation' art did well.
Just draw what you feel is fun.
But if you'd like, keep eyes on what gets what rating around here.
